HOW TO UNLOCK YOUR DEVICE FROM THE OPTUS MOBILE NETWORK

If you purchase an Optus or Oppo phone from us, it will be locked to the Optus network by default.

But if you ever need to unlock your device, so it can be used on another network, all you need to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Ensure there is an active amaysim SIM in the handset
  2. Text UNLOCK to 9999. You will receive a text message with some options.
  3. Reply with the number ‘1’.
  4. Reply with your IMEI number. You can get this from your invoice or by enter #06# into your phones keypad.
  5. Check your device details are correct.
  6. If your text says, "No payment required", reply with ‘1’.
  7. If a payment is required, contact us so we can help you resolve this - you should then receive a text message from Optus_Msg that reads:

Your device unlock request is complete.
Number: (Unlock number listed Approx 16 digits)
Date: (Current Date Listed)
Device: (Relevant Device Listed)
IMEI: (IMEI number listed)
Charge: $0
Your Unlock Code: (Unlock code listed Approx 16 digits)
Check your unlock history by texting UNLOCK to 9999 (if on the Optus Network).

 8. Insert the non-amaysim SIM and you will be prompted to enter an unlock code. Enter the unlock code you have received in your device settings to unlock it from the Optus Mobile network.
