USING INTERNATIONAL ROAMING
Roaming is enabled by default on your amaysim account. However, you can disable it at any time simply by changing your settings in the amaysim app.
But before you use your amaysim SIM card overseas, we recommend purchasing one of our International Roaming packs, or even looking into the cost of grabbing yourself a local SIM. At the end of the day, you’ve got to go with whichever option is most practical and cost-effective for you.
There are 4 International Roaming packs to choose from
The main advantage of using one of our packs over a local SIM is that you’re able to stay on your own number while you’re away. Plus, you don’t lose what you don’t lose, as everything included in your pack stays valid for 365 days.

You can easily track how much of your International Roaming pack you have left on the amaysim app. And while our packs can be used in most popular destinations, it’s always best to check your destination is included before you purchase your pack.
Remember: inclusions, including banked data from your regular amaysim mobile plan can’t be used for roaming.
Activating your International Roaming pack
Once you’ve purchased and added a pack to your plan, simply follow these steps and you’re ready to roam!
- Login to the amaysim app.
- Select ‘Settings’ in the top right-hand corner.
- Using the toggle switch, turn on ‘International Roaming’.
Manually activating roaming on your device
iOS
Navigate to ‘Settings’ > ‘Mobile’ > ‘Applicable SIM’ > Toggle on ‘Data Roaming’.
Android
Navigate to ‘Settings’ > ‘Connections’ > ‘Mobile Networks’ > Toggle on ‘Data Roaming’.
