You know the holidays are peeking around the corner once you've dusted off your ALDI Christmas tree during the final week of November. Ahhhh, I can almost smell the Christmas leftovers from here!
All jokes aside, after a huge year, I'm sure we're all looking forward to spending quality time with loved ones over the holiday period, which in 2020 means throwing on the A/C and binging a crapload of content together. Thankfully Netflix has come to the party once again, with another huge month of streaming on the horizon, including a bunch of Christmas favourites.
December highlights are led by Selena: The Series, which follows the story of iconic Mexican-American pop star Selena Quintanilla, as she makes incredible sacrifices in order to achieve her families lifelong dreams
Other Netflix Original highlights worth adding to your watch list include The Prom. Directed by Ryan Murphy and starring Meryl Streep, James Corden and Nicole Kidman, the film follows four Broadway actors who travel to a conservative Indiana town, as they rally behind a teen who just wants to attend prom with her girlfriend.
Meanwhile, MANK, from legendary director David Fincher looks like a fantastic watch. The film's based on a script written by his father Jack Fincher and explores the uncertain origin story of Citizen Kane.
On the Christmas front, The Holiday Movies That Made Us looks like a goodie and takes an in-depth look at two of the most iconic holiday films, Elf and The Nightmare Before Christmas, detailing how they were made, thanks to insider interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
Finally, there’s no shortage of Hollywood blockbusters to enjoy over the Christmas break. With the Christopher Nolan masterclass The Dark Knight, cult classic Superbad, Wedding Crashers, Bridget Jones Diary, Spiderman 2 & 3, and 50 First Dates set to make their way to Netflix Australia throughout December.
