In terms of new shows landing this month, Biohackers is one to watch out for and is a fast-paced thriller centered around medical student Mia, who discovers the use of highly advanced biohacking technology in her university town.
Other August highlights include Netflix Original film Crazy Awesome Teachers, which follows the story of a group of school students who team up to take back the money a dangerous gangster stole from them.
On the documentary front, keep an eye out for Immigration Nation. The documentary lands August 3 and is set to provide a unique perspective regarding the ongoing struggles of America’s broken immigration system.
(Un) Well is another intriguing docuseries worthy of your attention and dives into the lucrative wellness industry, to see what’s really going on and whether the products actually live up to their promises.
As always, a stack of Hollywood blockbusters will also make their way to Netflix Australia, with this month’s lineup headlined by one of the all-time greats, with the Tom Hanks led, Forest Gump arriving in early August.
Martin Scorsese thriller Shutter Island which stars Leonardo DiCaprio also touches down in early August and is a must-watch if you're yet to see it. Other feature films to add to your watch list include Project X, Guilt Trip and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
