If that wasn’t awesome enough, we’ve also achieved a five-star rating for our simple sign up and activation; hassle-free plan billing; the flexibility of our plans; and our overall value for money offering. To get a five out of five in these important areas is a big win and reinforces our commitment to providing Aussies with truly hassle-free mobile plans. Celebrating alongside us is Vaya, (also part of the amaysim group), who achieved a three-star rating or higher in all categories.
The real winners
We’re firm believers in giving our customers the freedom to vote with their feet. That’s why our phone plans don’t come with lock-in contracts, so if you find something better for your wallet or your lifestyle you’re free to do what’s right for you, no questions asked. That said, we’re quietly chuffed and believe our plans are among some of the best in the market.
The categories for the Canstar Blue Award were set up a bit differently this year to better reflect the current mobile market. Instead of simply splitting the market into two categories, this year it was split into three:
- Pre-paid phone plans;
- Post-paid phone plans with a handset; and
- Post-paid phone plans without a handset (that’s the one we won).
For us, the change to the award structure highlights the increasing appeal of SIM-only mobile plans aka BYO mobile plans.
As great as today is, it isn’t the first time we’ve ranked in the Canstar awards. In 2013 and 2014 we won back-to-back Canstar Blue Customer Satisfaction Awards for our prepaid mobile plans. In 2014, we also won in the Canstar Blue Customer Satisfaction Award in the best mobile phone plan provider category.
