I've got a SIM, how do I activate it?

The process to activate your SIM is straightforward - just head to the activation page and follow the prompts to enter your SIM number to complete the activation process.

Did you purchase your SIM online?

If you've ordered your SIM online, head to the activation page and enter your SIM number to complete your activation. The mobile plan you’ve chosen won’t kick in until after the activation process is complete.

If you've purchased your SIM online via standard delivery, your SIM will be active and ready to use right away.

Did you purchase your SIM/Starter Pack from a store?

Easy! Head to the activation page, enter your 13-digit SIM number and select the mobile or data-only plan that you want to use.

You'll then need to provide some personal details (full name, residential address and the email you’d like connected to your amaysim service) and will also need to provide the payment details you want to use for your account. For a hassle-free way to pay for your service moving forward, we recommend using a Credit or Debit card.

If you'd like to pay using Direct Debit, you'll need to verify your payment details before your activation can be completed.

How long will the activation take?

Once you've entered the details of your SIM, your SIM should become active within 4 hours (In most cases the service will connect instantly and you'll simply need to insert the SIM into your device).

If you're looking to transfer your number to amaysim, your SIM will become active once the transfer process is complete. Most transfers will become active within a few hours, however the process can take up to 3 working days depending on which provider you’re switching from.

During the transfer you can continue to use your current provider's SIM. Once it stops working, that’ll mean your amaysim SIM is in the process of being activated.
