Understanding international dialling codes can be quite tricky. You need the country code, the area code. It also helps to have a plan with unlimited international calls. Even knowing when to remove a zero or add a + sign to the number can be a damn-right headache!

Thankfully, we’ve rounded up everything you’ll need to know about calling Singapore from Australia. So read on and get typing, the world is only a phone call away!

  1. Enter the + on your dial pad.* This is usually done by holding down the 0 key
  2. Enter the country code for Singapore (65)
  3. Finally, enter the local number of your family or friend

* Your phone automatically converts the "+" into the correct international exit code (depending on what country the phone is being used). This allows callers to use the same stored number no matter what county they are in. This is a great feature if you’re travelling abroad, using international roaming and calling your contacts while abroad.
