HOW TO MANAGE CALL WAITING, CALLER ID AND CALL FORWARDING


It’s easy to manage your settings for call waiting, caller ID and call forwarding on My amaysim or the amaysim app. Alternatively, you can also do this through your device settings. If you have any problems doing it this way, please refer to your device’s user manual.

Here’s a quick explanation of how all three services work, and how you can use each of them to best suit your needs.
 

Calling waiting

Call waiting alerts you to a second incoming call while you’re on another call.

You can enable or disable this setting on My amaysim or the amaysim app in the ‘Settings’ section. This can also be done by dialling ‘*43#’, and you’ll be told via an automated announcement that your calling waiting has been turned on or off.
 

Caller ID

Enabling caller ID means your amaysim mobile number will be displayed to others when you call them.

To make your number private, so it isn’t displayed to others when you call them, simply untick the caller ID option in the ‘Settings’ section of My amaysim or the amaysim app. You can also block caller ID for an individual call by entering ‘#31#’ before the number you are calling, for example ‘#31#0412345345’
 

Call forwarding

Call forwarding diverts calls from your amaysim mobile number to another Australian landline or mobile number.

You can activate this in the ‘Settings’ section of My amaysim or the amaysim app. All you will need to do is enter the number you want your calls to be forwarded to into the ‘Forward calls to’ box.
 

What are the charges involved with call forwarding?

Calls that are diverted to local Australian landlines and mobiles will be charged the rate of 20c/min (Call Forward Surcharge), plus the standard call rate of 12c/min, which means there will be a combined cost of 32c/min.

We don’t support call diversions to international numbers.
 

How do I to setup an unconditional diversion to voicemail?

When setting up in the amaysim app or on My amaysim, simply type the number 61411000321 in the ‘Forward calls to’ box.
