How can I pay for my SIM plan?

Quick answer

Whether you're signing up to amaysim or an existing customer, there are a number of different payment options to choose from including Credit/Debit Cards, PayPal and recharge vouchers.

  • Credit/Debit Card (Recommended)
  • PayPal
  • Direct Debit (Existing customers)
  • Vouchers (Prepaid only)
  • BPAY

Note: When you place an order, amaysim will perform a $1 pre-authorisation check to verify that your credit card details have been entered correctly. This will appear as a pending transaction on your bank account. This is not a charge and the $1 will be released to your bank account within 10 days.

If you’re joining amaysim

When signing up to amaysim we recommend paying using a Credit/Debit Card or PayPal as this allows your plan to recharge automatically at the end of your plans expiry period or whenever you're low on credit.

I want to pay using a voucher

If you want to make your initial payment using a voucher, you'll need to purchase a plan or credit voucher as well as a $2 SIM from our range of retail stores that includes Coles, Woolworths, Australia Post, 7-Eleven and more.

Once you’ve purchased your SIM and credit voucher, head to the activation page, enter your SIM number and select your desired mobile or data-only plan to complete the signup process.

If you're already an amaysim customer

Managing the payment details for your account is easy and can be done through the Payment method section of My amaysim - simply click Change and follow the prompts to update your details.

How do I pay my bill (Postpaid Customers)?

Ten days after your bill has been issued, your bill payment will be automatically charged to the selected payment method on your account. If you need to manually pay a bill for your account, the process is also straightforward.

Paying for your mobile or data-only plan using a Credit/Debit card is the hassle-free way to stay connected without lifting a finger and allows your plan to recharge automatically at the end of your plans expiry period or when you're low on credit.

How can I add Credit/Debit card details to my account?

Adding Credit/Debit card details to your account is straightforward and can be done through the Payment method section of My amaysim. Once there follow these simple steps:

  • Click Change
  • Select the Credit/Debit Card option from the dropdown list

You’ll then be able to enter your card details and will need to select Save Details to complete the process.

My card recently expired - how can I update my details?

As above, if you need to updateyour credit/debit card details, head to Payment method in My amaysim, click Change and follow the prompts.

When will I be charged?

  • For Prepaid customers, the cost of your amaysim plan will be debited from your Credit/Debit card whenever your plan renews, when you purchase a new product or add additional credit.
  • For Postpaid customers, you’ll receive a bill each month with a list of your monthly charges. We'll deduct these charges from your nominated card within ten days.

How do I pay using PayPal?

Using PayPal is a fast and easy way to pay for your mobile or data-only plan and all you'll need are your PayPal account details - that's the email address connected to your PayPal account and your password.

How can I add my PayPal account?

Linking your PayPal account to your amaysim service is straightforward and can be done through the Payment method tab of My amaysim, once here follow these simple steps:

  • Click Change
  • Select the PayPal option from the dropdown list
  • Select Continue to PayPal.

You’ll then be redirected to a PayPal window where you’ll need to enter your existing PayPal account details. Once this has been done, click Agree and Continue to complete the process.
