It hasn’t even been a month since we went live with Live Chat (try saying that five times fast), but we’re making some pretty massive progress.
By opening up this new channel for people to hit us up with amaysim-related queries and problems, the amount of people we’re helping out is increasingly weekly. What’s even better news is the fact that our daily customer satisfaction rating for people using Live Chat has hit highs of 93%.
How does Live Chat work?
For those of you who still aren’t sure with how Live Chat works, this is everything you need to know:
- You’ll see an orange Live Chat button at the bottom of any page on the amaysim website. Just click on it to start chatting with one of our reps.
- You’ll need to enter your name before you start chatting. You can also enter your email address and amaysim mobile number if you’re already an amaysim customer – this will make the conversation as quick and easy as possible.
- Click on “Start live chat” and you’ll be placed in the queue. You can see how many people are ahead of you in the queue, as well as rough estimate for how long it will take for a rep to start chatting with you.
- In the meantime, you can keep browsing online while you wait for your Live Chat session to start. The Live Chat tab will flash when a rep starts talking to you.
The changing face of amaysim customer service
Apart from adding Live Chat to our customer service arsenal, we’ve got some new recruits down in the customer service centre ready to answer all your questions, with even more in the pipeline. Our new email technology has also made sorting, filtering and responding to emails quicker than ever, so we’re nailing new messages quickly and getting through the backlog (if you haven’t heard back from us, thanks a lot for your patience).
While telephone queues are still pretty high, we’re seeing them start to ease as Live Chat takes off, our new email system makes the team more efficient and amaysim newbies hit the phones. We’re not there yet when it comes to getting the balance spot-on, but we’re well on the way.

With all these new additions and improvements to amaysim customer service, it’s easy to overlook our Help and Support pages – but don’t! Help and Support is available to you at all hours of the day or night. We’ve got over 200 FAQs plus a bunch of videos that’ll help you with anything from billing and payments to setting up mobile internet.
Help and Support is your best port of call whenever you find yourself stumped for answers – hit it up first because you’ll probably find the answer you need and save yourself a bit of time.
