What is AVC ID and where do I find it?
An AVC ID (Access Virtual Circuit Identifier) is a unique 15-character code that identifies your specific NBN service. This code is generated by NBN Co, and you will need it to switch internet providers.
Providing your AVC ID is a legal requirement for switching NBN providers from April 2025.
Why is AVC ID a good thing?
AVC ID is a win-win for customers. Right now, anyone can request to transfer an NBN service without authorisation. This could mean that the wrong service is disconnected, which can be very frustrating for customers.
That’s where AVC ID comes in to save the day, with a unique code linked to your premises so the right service gets transferred – happy days.

Amayzing choice! Before you proceed, you’ll need to locate your current NBN service’s AVC ID and provide it to us.
Where is my AVC ID?
Regardless of whether you have a service from Telstra, TPG, Optus, or any other NBN provider, you can typically find your current AVC ID in the following places:
Your latest bill or invoice: look for a section labelled "AVC ID" or something similar
Online account: many providers offer self-service options through their web portal or app – check for a section related to NBN service or account information
Contact your current provider: if you can't find your AVC ID anywhere else just reach out to your current provider – they should be able to assist you in locating it after verifying your identity

Simply enter your AVC ID during checkout when purchasing an amaysim NBN plan on our website or app.
Once we switch your service to amaysim NBN, we’ll generate a new AVC ID for your service and provide it to you.

Where is my AVC ID?
You can find your AVC ID in the following locations:
On My amaysim: navigate to the ‘NBN’ section and find your service details at the bottom – your service AVC ID will be displayed under your plan name
On My amaysim: go to the ‘NBN’ section, then ‘Latest payments’, and select ‘View all payments’ to view the latest PDF invoice – your AVC ID will be shown in the ‘Account Details’ column
Your email: Search the subject line ‘amaysim NBN: Woohoo! Your NBN connection is ready’
