Managing your AS YOU GO mobile plan

With AS YOU GO, you only pay for what you use and with great prices and no lock-in contracts, it's an easy option if you're looking for a mobile plan that puts the control completely in your hands:

Here are the rates you'll get to enjoy:

  • Standard calls in OZ (mobile and landline)15c/min (30c/2mins)
  • Standard SMS in OZ 15c/SMS
  • Standard MMS 49c/MMS
  • Calls to 13 numbers 29c/MIN
  • Calls to 18 numbers are Free in Australia
  • Data is charged at 7.2c/MB with KB rounding
  • 365 Day Credit expiry (Prepaid)

Credit can be used to add any mobile or data-only plan. If you don’t have enough credit, we’ll simply charge the remaining balance to the payment method on your account.

Your AS YOU GO account credit can also be used on additional services such as Premium SMSInternational Roaming or to make International calls and SMS.

If you're joining amaysim, the easiest way is to order your SIM online. There’s no charge for the SIM and you’ll receive $10 worth of AS YOU GO credit to get you started.

You also have the option to purchase an amaysim SIM for $2 from our range of retail stores that includes Coles, Woolworths, Australia Post, 7-Eleven and more. Once you’ve purchased your SIM, head to the activation page, enter your 13-digit SIM number and select AS YOU GO to begin the signup process.

Already with amaysim?

If you're already with amaysim, you can switch to AS YOU GO at any point, by following either of the steps below:

  • Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen in the amaysim app, select manage your plan and then change your plan;
  • Log in to My amaysim, head to Manage plan and select your new plan;

Here are some quick and easy ways to check the balance of your AS YOU GO plan.

  • Log in to the free amaysim app (available for both iOS and Android), your balance will be displayed on the Home screen;
  • Head to the Plan page of My amaysim;
  • Text BAL to 568; or
  • Call 555 and dial 1# to hear your balance

If you've linked a Credit/Debit card, PayPal or your bank account to your amaysim account, you can recharge your credit at any time, by using one of the below options:

Recharging via SMS
  • Text TOP followed by your recharge amount to 568 e.g. TOP10 for a $10 recharge (you can recharge in amounts of $10, $20, $30, $40 or $50);
Recharging via the app
  • Log in to the amaysim app, swipe up on the home screen and click add credit; and choose your top up amount. followed by your recharge amount to 568 e.g. TOP10 for a $10 recharge (you can recharge in amounts of $10, $20, $30, $40 or $50);
Recharging via My amaysim
  • Log in to My amaysim and click add credit on the Plan page.


Recharge using Vouchers

  • amaysim vouchers are available in thousands of stores around Australia including Coles, Woolworths, Australia Post, 7-Eleven and more.

    To recharge using vouchers, you'll need to buy and redeem a new credit voucher prior to your plan expiring, or when you require additional credit/data.
What voucher amounts are available?
  • $10, $12, $20, $30, $40 $50, $100
Redeeming vouchers via SMS
  • SMS the 10-digit voucher code to 568
  • You'll receive a reply SMS from amaysim with instructions on how to use the voucher credit to add one of our popular unlimited mobile plans.
  • Please follow these instructions and reply to the message you receive - this will ensure the voucher credit is used to add your mobile plan.
  • A confirmation message will be sent to confirm your purchase.
Redeeming vouchers via My amaysim
  • Click Recharge Voucher on the Plan page in My amaysim, enter the 10-digit voucher number and continue
  • You will get an option on how you would like to apply the voucher.
  • Choose between the options and click confirm.

There are no fees involved with plan changes at amaysim and you can switch from AS YOU GO to an UNLIMITED mobile plan at any point.

If you've linked a payment method to your account, choose one of the following options to switch your plan:

  • Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen in the amaysim app, select manage your plan and then change your plan;
  • Log in to My amaysim, head to Manage plan and select your new plan;
  • Text the shortcut of the UNLIMITED plan you want to 568

If you haven't done so already, make sure you download the amaysim app for iOS or Android. It's the one-stop-shop for managing your mobile plan.

The app is free, can be used if you've run out of mobile data, and allows you to:

  • Check your mobile credit and data balance, and add more for when you need it
  • Switch your mobile plan at any time
  • Manage the auto-renew settings for your amaysim mobile plan
  • View your data usage history
  • Get quick answers to any support questions
  • Update other settings like call waiting, voicemail and roaming
