Before the meter is installed
After signing up, we’ll verify the details of your address and check whether a smart meter installation is required at your address.
In the days following this verification process, the team at Spotless Advanced Metering will reach out to you via email to schedule a date for the installation to take place.
You’ll be able to review/reschedule the proposed installation date during this period.
During this process, Spotless will request for you to complete a quick online form with some brief questions around your existing meter setup. This will help avoid any issues when they come out to complete the installation.
What to expect on installation day
The installation of your smart meter will usually take 1-2 hours to complete.
The team at Spotless will need to briefly disconnect your power to ensure the job is done safely and your power will be switched off for around 30 minutes.
Can I re-schedule my installation appointment?
Yes, however this needs to be done ahead of time to avoid a “wasted visit” fee. A “wasted visit” fee of $45 will only be charged if you fail to provide access to your meter during the installation appointment that you have arranged with Spotless Advanced Metering. This fee is a cost passed through from Spotless Advanced Metering.
If you need to re-schedule an installation appointment, be sure to correspond with the emails Spotless send you when initially organising your installation appointment.
