After a series of cracking releases in September, Netflix is on track for another huge month, with October's content lineup once again hitting the spot.
October highlights are led by the anticipated film The Trial Of The Chicago Seven. With a star studded cast including Sacha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jeremy Strong, Mark Rylance, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Keaton. The film is based on the infamous 1969 trial of seven defendants who were charged by the federal government with conspiracy.
Another Netflix Original worth keeping an eye out for is the new mini-series Oktoberfest: Beer & Blood. The story sees two powerful family breweries go to war over the beer festival in early 20th-century Munich, resulting in deceit, betrayal and murder.
On the documentary front, David Attenborough is back to his old tricks with A Life On Our Planet. The new documentary from the megastar arrives October 4 and sees the celebrated naturalist reflect upon the defining moments of his lifetime and the devastating changes he has seen.
Meanwhile, fans of K-Pop will be stoked to hear Korean girl band BLACKPINK are set to unveil the hard-fought journey behind their meteoric rise with a new doco titled Blackpink: Light Up The Sky.
As always, a stack of Hollywood bangers will also make their way to Netflix Australia, with this month’s lineup headlined by the Eminem led cult-classic 8-Mile. Other flicks to add to your October watchlist include 2011 Rom-Com banger Bridesmaids, The Bourne Ultimatum, Les Misérables and Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins.
