About the role and championing our people...
The Head of Amaysim & Challenger Brands will be responsible for defining the strategy and vision for the entire function including Amaysim, Gomo, Coles Mobile and Catch Connect, and own the operational execution and delivery of the strategic plan. You will develop a defined roadmap to ensure each brand's propositions are clearly differentiated, driving market share and revenue growth.
Leading Amaysim end to end, you will be accountable for the business portfolio including pricing, sales, marketing, digital product, technology, data, and analytics, along with business and retail operations. You will also be responsible for the leadership of outsourced international operations, of 150 people in contact centres and technology. Acting as a true business partner, inspiring leader, and key influencer you will engage and leverage the whole of Optus to achieve high quality and timely performance outcomes. As a senior leader, you will excel at navigating and influencing a complex, matrix driven organisation, demonstrating excellent judgement, creative problem solving and strong commercial acumen.
What makes you perfect for the role…
You are a strong people and cultural enterprise leader who can inspire, lead, and mentor a large cross functional team, from ideation through to in-market execution. Ideally coming from a challenger brand or market disruptor, you are comfortable with solving major roadblocks quickly leveraging skills across financials, business cases, analytics, and marketing campaigns with a phenomenal enterprise leadership capability. You are driven by a continuous hunger to gain market share and launch your business forward. You are the CEO of your business unit! The opportunity to challenge the market is engrained in your day-to-day practises and excites you.
Critically, strong influencing skills across all levels of the organisation are key, particularly at the executive leadership team level. Combined with incredible stakeholder management expertise and further complemented with a passion for team leadership and a desire to deliver excellent work. You can identify, develop, and seize opportunities to drive business growth and revenue in difficult markets. Relentlessly striving to set a higher standard, opportunistic, at times entrepreneurial. You are highly proficient and experienced in driving year-on-year improvements across all business metrics including revenue, brand, and people engagement.
