Transferring your number to amaysim is a straightforward process that can be completed all online.
Simply let us know the details of your existing number when signing up and we'll take care of the rest.
If your mobile number is currently under contract, you'll need to wait for it to end, or contact your existing provider to discuss terminating it early.
Do not cancel your existing number, as it needs to be active for the number transfer to be completed.
Once your number is successfully transferred to amaysim, it will automatically cancel the number with your previous provider.
Most transfers are completed within a few hours, or by the end of the following business day. Some transfers however, may take up to 3 business days to be processed.
During the transfer you can continue to use your current provider's SIM.

After the initial sign up process is complete and you've received your SIM, you'll be able to log in to your account to initiate the transfer.
You'll need to authorise the number transfer by entering a six-digit code which will be sent to your number via SMS, so keep your phone handy, as the transfer will only kick-off after the code has been successfully verified.

Tip: You can start the transfer at any time, however transfers are processed between 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 6pm on Saturday.

Once it stops working, your amaysim SIM is in the process of being activated and means you can insert the amaysim SIM into your device.
There may be a short period of service interruption, but your service should become active by 8pm at the latest on that day.
