FLEXI is ending, but we have a plan to keep you rolling

Here are some changes to your FLEXI plan that you'll need to know

From 1 July 2018, your existing FLEXI plan will no longer be available for purchase or renewal. This means that at the end of your current 30 day plan period, you'll need to switch to one of our other mobile plans to continue using your amaysim SIM.

We understand you may have questions about the next steps and have created the below FAQs to help answer any questions you may have about this upcoming change.

What's happening to FLEXI?

When we first launched the FLEXI product six years ago, our aim was to provide Aussies with a great-value mobile plan that wouldn't cost more than $20.

However, times have changed and with the launch of our suite of
UNLIMITED mobile plans that are packed with even more value now available from just $20, we’ve decided it’s time to turn the lights off on FLEXI..

From 1 July 2018, our $19.90 FLEXI plan will no longer be available for purchase or renewal. To assist you with this change, we'll provide you with a $5 credit offer to help you transition onto either our $20 UNLIMITED 2.5GB or $30 UNLIMITED 5GB plans.

How do I switch my plan?

Quick answer

We've made switching between our awesome plans as easy as sending a text and with our range of UNLIMITED mobile plans, we have a plan to suit a wide variety of usage needs.

No need to worry about how much you talk and text, simply pick your data and you're ready to go. To switch to any of our UNLIMITED plans, simple text one of the codes below to 568 using your amaysim mobile number and we will automatically upgrade you onto the chosen plan.

What happens to unused credits?

Quick answer

Any existing credits on your FLEXI plan will remain for the entire period, however any remaining unused credits will no longer roll-over after 1 July 2018.

Remember though, the remaining credits on your FLEXI plan can be used towards the purchase of any of our other UNLIMITED mobile plans.

What happens if my auto-renewal is turned off?

Quick answer

Your auto-renewal status will remain unchanged from the last time it was adjusted. So if you switched auto-renewal off prior to FLEXI becoming unavailable, then auto-renewal will remain off after 1 July 2018.

However, if you change into an Unlimited plan, then your auto-renewal will be switched on again.

What if I have bought a Flexi voucher from a retailer?

Quick answer

If you've purchased a $19.90 FLEXI credit voucher through a retail store, after 1 July 2018, if you apply the voucher to your account, a $20 AS YOU GO credit will be applied to your account

You can use this credit on the regular AS YOU GO rates, or can choose to convert the credit into your chosen UNLIMITED plan. The plan comparible to the $20 price point, would be our UNLIMITED 2.5GB plan and you can switch to this plan through My amaysim, or the amaysim app.

Will I still be able to recharge via voucher?

Quick answer

Absolutely! If your preferred recharge method is a recharge voucher, you can still recharge using vouchers from any of our retail partners.

The change after 1 July 2018 is that you'll no longer be able to purchase a $19.90 FLEXI voucher and will need to purchase one of our other recharge voucher options.
