HOW CAN I ADD DATA TO MY PLAN?

If you run out of the included data in your UNLIMITED, 7-day short term, long expiry or data-only plan, you can add a 1GB/$10 data-top up to your service at any point throughout your plan period. The data top-up will be added to your plan’s pool of data and will expire at the same time as your plan.

If you've linked a payment method to your account, simply follow one of the below steps in order to add the data top-up to your account:

• Text TOP1GB from your amaysim mobile number to 568;
• Log in to the amaysim app - Swipe up from the home screen, Select add data and follow the prompts
• Or head to Plan menu option in My amaysim and select Add data under the Data Remaining section

The process to renew your plan early is simple and be done through My amaysim or the amaysim mobile app.

Renewing your plan early via My amaysim

1. Log in to My amaysim and select the Plan menu option.
2. Select Manage your plan.
3. Select Renew your plan 
4. Click the orange Renew your plan button at the bottom of the screen.
5. You’ll be taken to a confirmation screen - please check the details are correct before proceeding.
6. Once you’ve confirmed your details, select Confirm and pay button at the bottom of the screen. The payment method on your account will be charged and your plan will be renewed.

That’s it, you’re done!

Renewing your plan early via the app

1. Log in to the amaysim mobile app.
2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and select manage your plan
3. Scroll down and select renew your plan
4. Once you’ve confirmed your details, select renew your plan and then confirm & pay. The payment method on your account will be charged and your plan will be renewed

You’re good to go!

As soon as payment has been successfully processed, the new plan period will begin and you’ll have access to all the features included in your regular plan.

Data Banking, otherwise known as data rollover, saves all the unused data from your previous renewal period, storing it in a ‘data bank’ ready for you to use whenever you run low on data.

For example, if your plan gives you 30GB of data each renewal, and you only use 10GB – when you next renew, the unused 20GB gets automatically saved in your data bank for later use.

Unlike other telcos who cap their data banks, your amaysim data bank has no limits on the amount of data it can store and no expiry period either, as long as you remain on your current plan.

This way, you’ll always be covered when you need a little bit extra to keep you swiping, scrolling and streaming

You'll use your usual plan data first, this includes any bonus data or data top-ups that have been added to your account.

If you happen to use up your data balance before your plan renews, you'll begin using the stored data in your data bank to keep you going until your plan has renewed.

From time to time, network behaviour may mean that data is used in a different order however your total data inclusions will remain unchanged.

You can check your data balance (including your specific data bank balance) via the home screen of the amaysim app.

If you decide to switch plans, your existing data bank balance will not be carried across to your new plan.

If you want to add a data-only plan using a voucher, you'll need to buy an AS YOU GO voucher that's of the same value as the plan you're wanting to add.

Once you’ve applied the voucher, head to Manage Plan in My amaysim and select your desired data option.

Alternatively text the shortcut of the data top-up/data-only plan from your amaysim mobile number to 568 . For example, if you’ve applied a $10 voucher to your account, text'1GB' to 568 in order to add the data using the voucher credit.
