How do usage projections work?

Each day we’ll sync your smart meter and analyse your usage to project how much we think you’ll use during the month, it’s a simple way to help you stay in control. Although we sync your smart meter daily, data may be delayed up to 48 hours.

Our projections will get more and more accurate as time goes by.

At the beginning of each renewal cycle you’ll see a crystal ball instead of a projection. There’s no hocus pocus involved, we’re simply crunching the numbers so we can give you an accurate projection.

How is usage projected?

We use a calculation that looks at your current usage and the remaining days of your subscription plan.

Your projected usage will update every day (and get more accurate) as time goes by. Although we sync your smart meter daily, data may be delayed up to 48 hours.

The recommendations we give around your projected usage may include simply doing nothing, adding an energy top-up, or changing your plan.

How can I view my projected usage?

To glance at how much kWh you have remaining and view your projected usage, simply log in to the app or my amaysim, head to the services section and select your plan.
