How do I recharge my prepaid plan?

Quick answer

We've made recharging hassle-free. If you link a payment method (Credit/Debit card, PayPal or Direct Debit) to your account, you can set your plan to recharge automatically at the end of your plans expiry period or whenever you're low on credit. Alternatively you can recharge your plan using Vouchers or BPAY, but this means you'll need to do more work.

Recharge your Prepaid plan

The hassle-free way to recharge your amaysim service is to link one of the following payment methods (Credit/Debit card, PayPal or Direct Debit) to your account. This can be through the My Payments section of My amaysim and allows your plan to recharge automatically at the end of your plans expiry period or whenever you're low on credit.

Recharge your mobile plan

Recharge using Credit/Debit card, PayPal or Direct Debit (Recommended)

If you pay for your mobile plan using a Credit/Debit card, PayPal or Direct Debit your plan will look to recharge automatically at the end of your plan period. To find out when your plan renews, text BAL to 568, or login to My amaysim.

If you've run out of data part way through your plan period, you can't recharge your plan early, so we recommend adding a Data Pack if you plan to continue using data.

Recharge using vouchers

Purchase the recharge voucher you require and then redeem your voucher through one of the below steps;

  • Text your voucher PIN number to 568;
  • Head to the Recharge area of the amaysim app;
  • Click Redeem Voucher on the Overview screen in My amaysim; or
  • Call 555 and follow the prompts.

If you've run out of data part way through your plan period, you can't recharge your plan early, so we recommend adding a Data Pack if you plan to continue using data.

Recharge your data-only plan

Recharge using Credit/Debit card, PayPal or Direct Debit (Recommended)

If you pay for your data-only plan using a Credit/Debit card, PayPal or Direct Debit, your plan will look to recharge automatically at the end of your plan period. To find out when your plan renews, text BAL to 568, or login to My amaysim.

If you run out of data early, you can recharge your data-only plan through one of the below steps;

  • Text the Data Pack shortcut you want from your amaysim mobile number to 568 – that'll be 1GB, 2.5GB, 4GB or 10GB;
  • Head to the My Plan area of the amaysim app and select a data pack;
  • Or head to My Plan & Data in My amaysim and select your chosen data pack.

Recharge using vouchers

Since we don’t sell specific plan vouchers for our data-only plans you'll need to buy regular credit vouchers, redeem them and use the credit to pay for the plan. Regular credit vouchers come in the amounts of $10, $20, $30 and $50.

Once you’ve applied the credit voucher, simply follow one of the below steps to add your data-only plan;

  • Text the Data Pack shortcut you want from your amaysim mobile number to 568 – that'll be 1GB, 2.5GB, 4GB or 10GB;
  • Head to the My Plan area of the amaysim app and select a data pack;
  • Or head to My Plan & Data in My amaysim and select your chosen data pack.

If you run out of data early, you can recharge your plan through these same steps.

    Recharge your credit

    Recharge using Credit/Debit card, PayPal or Direct Debit (Recommended)

    To add additional credit to your account, simply follow one of the below steps;

    • Text TOP followed by your recharge amount to 568 e.g. TOP10 for a $10 recharge (you can recharge in amounts of $10, $20, $30 or $50);
    • Head to the Recharge area of the amaysim app and click Add credit;
    • Click Add Credit on the Overview screen in My amaysim; or
    • Call 555 and follow the prompts

    Once you add credit it will extend the expiry period for any credit on the account for a fresh 365 days.

    You can set an auto-recharge for additional credit through the settings area of the amaysim app or My amaysim. This allows you to stay connected without the need to manually recharge every time you're low on credit.

    Recharge using vouchers

    Regular credit vouchers come in the amounts of $10, $20, $30, $50, $100. To redeem your voucher, simply follow one of the below steps;

    • Text your voucher PIN number to 568;
    • Head to the Recharge area of the amaysim app and click Redeem voucher;
    • Click Redeem a Voucher through My amaysim; or
    • Call 555 and follow the prompts.

    What to do if your Recharge/Payment has declined

    There are a number of reasons for a payment declining including insufficient funds, a lost credit/debit card or an out of date payment method (such as an expired credit card).

    If you’ve received a message that your payment has declined, don’t panic as it’s easy to update your payment details and re-submit your payment.
