Netflix June Post

Everything coming to Netflix Australia in June 2020

27 May 2020

As Australian weather conditions begin to feel slightly baltic (10° is cold enough to bring out your woolly jumpers right?), it's only natural for our minds to gaze ahead at what we can expect to binge-watch next on Netflix.

If I'm being honest, I'm upset The Last Dance has finished up, but alas the show must go on and fortunately, June has a bunch of intriguing original content to power us through the official start of winter.

June's content lineup is headlined by the fourth and final season of 13 Reasons Why. In the aftermath to the season three finale, the new season picks ups as the Liberty High School Senior Class prepare for the pressure of graduation and face the challenge of stepping into the next chapter of their lives.

Fan favourite Queer Eye returns for its fifth season and sees the Fab Five fly into Philadelphia, as they focus on a new cast of everyday legends to cast their eye over and work their magic.

Original film highlights this month include Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga. The film stars Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams and follows two small-town singers who chase their pop star dreams at the world's biggest music competition.

Da 5 Bloods is worth keeping your eye out for and is the latest film from Academy Award Winner Spike Lee. The film tells the story of four African-American Vets who return to Vietnam, seeking the remains of their fallen squad leader (Chadwick Boseman) and the gold fortune he helped them hide.

Meanwhile, The Wasp Network starring Penelope Cruz looks like a goodie and is based on a gripping true story where a band of Cuban defectors infiltrates anti-Castro terrorist groups in the early 1990s.

On the comedy front, keep an eye out for the fourth season of F Is For Family which sees Frank deal with an unwelcome visitor. Fans of stand up are also in for a big month, with specials from Jo Koy (In His Elements- June 12) and Eric Andre (Legalize Everything- June 23).

As always, there are a plethora of Hollywood blockbusters set to make their way to the streaming platform, with this months lineup headlined by one of all the time greats with Al Pacino's Scarface arriving on 30 June. We also have the OG Mission: Impossible trilogy, The Big LebowskiBlader Runner and Million Dollar Baby, so I guess it's safe to say there will be plenty of cozy movie nights throughout June!

Check out the complete list of new shows and movies below and get ready for another huge month of at-home streaming.
