Today I accepted amaysim’s first Employee of Choice Award at the inaugural Human Resources Director Magazine Awards lunch in Sydney and I couldn’t be prouder.

As I mentioned on the blog in May, amaysim won Bronze in the ‘100-499 employee category’ and was recognised as an overall winner in a key sub-category for helping our employees achieve better work-life balance – or as we like to call it at amaysim, life-balance.

The win can be credited to the company’s culture, which is based on our four values -simplicity, agility, reliability and empathy, and each and every team member at amaysim who lives and breathes these values.

As we’ve grown from a start-up into one of Australia’s leading mobile service providers we have never lost sight of the importance of the amaysim culture or staff well-being. In fact, as we’ve grown we’ve made staff well-being even more of a focus than it was when we launched with a tiny team and even smaller budgets back in 2010.

We’ve also recently been shortlisted as a finalist in the 9th Annual Communications Alliance and Communications Day Awards, ‘Commitment to Customer Service category’ for our Intuitive DIY account management and support. The winners will be announced on Thursday at an awards dinner so hopefully we’ll be bringing home another medal this week.
